Social etiquette and manners are not mere words to Maria Everding - they are a way of life. As a consultant on social and business etiquette, Maria Everding is an internationally recognized authority in her field and a sought-after speaker.
In 1982 Maria created and developed the Pretty As A Picture course in manners, poise, and style for young ladies, which was the leading program of its kind until it was sold in October, 2004.
Maria authored 3 etiquette books. Pretty As A Picture: A Guide to Manners, Poise and Style for Young Ladies, which accompanied the Pretty As A Picture course; The Ritz Kids' Etiquette for Today; and her latest is Panache That Pays: The Young Professional's Guide - How to Outclass Your Competition, which was introduced on ABC's Good Morning America. She coauthored the children's book, I Have Manners from A to Z.
Maria Everding was a columnist for Kansas City Bride and Groom and St. Louis Homes and Lifestyle magazines as well as a weekly guest on KMOX/CBS radio for many years. She is often quoted in newspapers and magazines nationwide as well as a guest on ABC's Good Morning America, National Public Radio and the British Broadcasting Company.
Maria Everding is the founder and president of The Etiquette Institute where she trains and certifies individuals to become etiquette consultants.
Maria's college program, Panache That Pays, is being used in several college level courses and her business etiquette programs qualify for continuing professional education.
Maria Everding is distinguished as the first recipient of the "Outstanding Alumna Award" from Patricia Stevens College.
Often referred to as "Saint Louis' First Lady of Manners" Maria resides in Town and Country, Missouri with her husband. They have one daughter.
